This second magazine is an important cornerstone for electronic democracy in general and the Competence Center, in specific.<br /> <br /> In May 2009, and for the first time in any Austrian Election, voters in the Austrian Federation of Students’ election were able to cast their votes via the Internet and in October 2009, Estonians could vote via Internet for their local parliaments. It was the fifth election with an electronic voting channel in Estonia and established with more than 100.000 E-Voters a new international remarkable benchmark.
