Managing Director of the Competence Center for Electronic Voting and Participation (E-Voting.CC)

Manuel joined E-Voting.CC in 2007. Until recently he was a consultant and project manager for the Competence Center drafting the Generic Toolkit for E-Democracy for the Council of Europe and responsible for the Modern Democracy Magazine.
Prior to taking over the position as managing director Manuel has been working as a researcher and assistant professor (stand-in) at the University of Munich. He holds a Master's Degree in Political Science from the Geschwister-Scholl-Institut for Political Science and attended courses at the University of Helsinki and the Essex Summer School in Social Science Data Analysis.
In addition, he is currently conducting his PhD. His academic research interests are the governance of technology and knowledge as well as the development of modern society and democracy under the influence of technology.

Executive Assistant

Maria is our Executive Assistant and joined E-Voting.CC in the beginning of 2011. She is responsible for all communication activities and external appearance of E-Voting.CC. She works in close cooperation with the Managing Director to ensure the operations of E-Voting.CC. Maria holds a Bachelor degree in communication studies with major studies in Marketing and Public Relations from the University in Vienna. During her studies, she stayed abroad and attended courses at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland. At the moment she does her Master studies in Communication Management at the University Of Applied Science Of Vienna.
Maria gained job experiences in internships at the marketing agency JMC and the opinion research institute Tfactory.

Iryna_picture

Junior Consultant, Research

Iryna joined E-Voting.CC in the summer of 2011 in the capacity of a junior consultant and researcher. She works on designated research projects within E-Voting.CC and assists the Managing Director in consultancy work. She is a native Russian speaker with an Eastern European background. Iryna has recently finished her Master studies at Örebro University in Sweden; her degree thesis dealt with remote e-voting implementation challenges in the European region. Iryna’s experience is backed by study visits to international organizations and an internship in NGO sector. Additionally, she pursues PhD education in Sweden focusing on electronic participation.

David-Levine-Headshot

Consultant


David joined E-Voting.CC in March of 2011 as a freelance consultant. He researches and analyzes various issues related to electronic voting, and helps clients used advanced technologies to successfully administer their elections.

David has helped administer elections at the federal, state, and local levels in the United States (“US”). He reviewed grants and analyzed state and federal processes for certifying electronic voting equipment at the US Election Assistance Commission. At the Washington, DC Board of Elections and Ethics, he helped recruit and train hundreds of poll workers on new voting equipment and procedures, and assisted with interpreting and complying with relevant federal and state laws. He has also helped investigate the causes and proposed remedies for unsatisfactory elections, and crafted election policy for many organizations.

He holds a law degree from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor’s degree in history (with a minor in political science) from Haverford College.

Accounting & Finance

Gisela joined e-voting.cc in 2010. She runs the office in Vienna and helped with the organization of the recent EVOTE2010 conference. For more than 15 years she has worked as office and project manager for an international relief, development and advocacy organization in Austria and abroad.

Robert-Krimmer2

Robert was the Director and Founder of the Competence Center for Electronic Voting and Participation (E-Voting.CC).
He is now Senior Adviser on new Voting Technologies with the OSCE - Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe.



Daniel-Botz3

Daniel joined E-Voting.cc in August 2007 as a project assistant to set up and maintain the E-Voting Database. He also co-organized the "EVOTE08" conference and co-edited the magazine "Modern Democracy".
He is now in charge of organizing the EVOTE2010 conference, which will take place from 21st to the 24th of July 2010 in Lochau, near Bregenz.

Daniel holds a Magister's degree in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics. His majors were Marketing and Behavioural Science Oriented Management. He also holds an I.P.M.A. certificate in project management. For his diploma thesis he did qualitative research to evaluate the IT support of the Austrian election system.



Katharina-Stoebich1

Katharina Stöbich joined E-Voting.CC in October 2007 and was in charge of organizing the EVOTE08 conference in Bregenz as well as the E-Voting seminar at the Danube University Krems.

Next to her work she studied political science at the University of Vienna. She finished her master at the Vienna university where she graduated in Political Science in April of 2009. Katharina now lives in Israel and is still working for us on a freelance basis.



Educated at the Vienna University of Economics. Developed the model for the “eVoting readiness scale” in his diploma thesis. Co-direction of the research project “Benchmarking E-Voting: Analysing the Readiness for Introduction of Electronic Voting in 28 European Countries”. The aim of the project is to analyse the evoting readiness on country-level.



Former student of the Vienna University of Economics and part of e-voting.cc since 2005. Stefan started as developer of this platform and ended up writing his diploma thesis on the "Development of Electronic Voting Worldwide". He is still working as a freelancer for E-Voting.CC.
