Finally we could send out the notifications today - being late two days due to some technical problems.

Still I would like to take the opportunity and thank the over 80 reviewers who helped us evaluate the submissions!

Now the next round of the work starts for the authors - producing the camera-ready papers!

In Switzerland 2008 is the year of informatics. As part of this series of events, the "informatica" has selected EVOTE08 to become a part of their events. It is a great honor for us that we can join this important initiative in our neighbouring country only 10min away from our conference venue.

A big thank for all your submissions for the EVOTE08 conference. We are now organizing the review. We will be back in May with the preliminary programme!

Next to the Council of Europe, the expert group ECOM of the German Gesellschaft für Informatik, with its chairman professor Rüdiger Grimm, will co-organize the EVOTE08 conference in Schloss Hofen, this summer.

This also involves the publication of the EVOTE08 proceedings in the GI LNI series as in the previous years.

We are happy to announce that our online submission system, using the Tog@ther System, is available now.

Please submit your papers for the 3rd International Electronic Voting Conference 2008 (EVOTE08) at http://evote08.togather.eu.

Alternatively you can also submit them through this direct link here.

In case of any questions please direct them to 2008@e-voting.cc or post them as a comment to this article.

The 3rd international conference on electronic voting (EVOTE08) is approaching in big steps. It's less than 2 months till the deadline for the submission of full papers. So hurry if you plan to write a paper.

The status of this conference is underlined by the - once again - support from the General Secretary of the Council of Europe who has granted the EVOTE08 conference the right to be held under his patronage.

This will help make EVOTE08 again a meeting place for reserachers, public servants and vendors in the field of electronic voting. Thanks!
